fALL YOUTH LACROSSE PROGRAM 🥍
This program is managed by Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District
WHO CAN SIGN UP: 3rd - 8th graders (boys + girls)
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This will be a fun, high action program. It will run for approximately one hour and include some light skill coaching but mostly just the kids playing against other kids in their age group on a smaller field than normal. This small field, 6 on 6 format (called Sixes Lacrosse) helps players develop critical skills (lots of passing!) while being more casual, a ton of fun with a lot of touches since it plays a lot like basketball. When they score, they just immediately dig the ball out and go the other way, sub on the fly as kids get tired. If any kids have been lightly interested in Lacrosse, this is a great introduction without a full season commitment.
*Brand new players, feel free to reach out and we can give parents a quick tip or two on preparing kids with some very basic skills at home before things kick off
