Golden Eagle Park

Golden Eagle Park boasts 2 multi-purpose courts for tennis, and basketball, 3 pickleball courts, mountain bike skills course for Tots, a Jump course for all levels, and “Pump Track” or Velosolutions skills course, access to the Indian Creek Trail, 2 picnic shelters, restrooms, and plenty of vehicle parking.

Pump Track + Skills Course

As you round the first turn into Golden Eagle Park, you'll see a black mound nestled behind a picnic shelter, overlooking Hood River High School. The Pump Track is a one-of-a-kind feature, found in less than 50 locations globally: a Velosolutions Pump Track.

Hood River Valley Parks & Recreation District partnered with the (HRATS) Hood River Area Trail Stewards to create the Pump Track, adding diversity to the recreation in Hood River. The Skills Park is the newest addition and was built in 2020, featuring a dirt pump track for the newcomers to the sport, along with a progressing dirt jump line for the littlest to the biggest senders.

Pickleball + Multi-purpose Courts

There are three dedicated pickleball courts and two multipurpose courts lined for tennis and basketball. The courts are popular. Here’s what you need to know if you want to play:

Court Rules:

  • Courts are first come, first served, unless reserved exclusively through Parks + Rec.

  • If someone is waiting to play on one of the courts, then users of the court have 30 minutes to finish their game. Please be mindful of other people wishing to play and share the courts

  • If all three pickleball courts are being used in the daytime, the multi-use court may be used by pickleball players as long as the two rules below are followed.

  •  During the daytime, tennis and basketball use takes priority on the multi-use court if all users want use of the court at the same time. Pickleball users can use the multi-use court if it is vacant. If multiple tennis or basketball users want to play, then the “30 minute rule” applies for the pickleball users to finish their game within a 30 minute time period. After the game is finished being played on the multi-use court, pickleball players may use the “30 minute rule” on the pickleball courts.

  • At night, the multi-purpose courts are first come, first served.  If the courts are being used and another user wants use of the court, the “30 minute rule” applies, and users must wrap up their game within a 30 minute time period.
