League Mission

Administer, develop and promote participation in adult baseball league within the local community and the state, through a safe and positive playing experience at a competitive level. 

HOOD RIVER BASEBALL LEAGUE⚾

The Hood River Men’s Baseball League will be managed by Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District.

LEAGUE OVERVIEW

  • This is an “Open League” (18 yrs old +)

  • 7-game season plus Playoff Tournament

  • Only wooden bats will be used in this league

  • Playoffs will be a single game elimination tournament

  • Game days: Sundays (other days as needed)

ROSTERS + ELIGIBILITY

  • Rosters must include 9 to 15 eligible players.

  • Players must be 18 years of age or older and finished with high school.

  • All players must be added to the team roster.

  • Players who are not on a team's roster are considered ineligible and can result in forfeitures/league expulsion.

  • A player can ONLY be registered on one Hood River Parks + Recreation District Baseball team.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Team Registration opens Thurs, May 1st

  • Late registration begins: Mon, June 2nd

  • Team Registration closes: Mon, June 9th

  • Teams Manager meeting: Mon, June 9th / Hood River Aquatic Center / 5:30-7pm

  • Team Rosters due by: June 9th (turn in at Team Manager meeting)

  • First practices: Team Manager’s choice

  • First games: Sun, June 22nd

  • Playoff games: Aug 10th + 17th

TEAM REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 1st (5 PM)

  • Team Registration: $ 1,750 per team

  • League fees cover direct costs that include league management, fields, umpires, game balls, and awards

Register Your Team - Follow these Steps:

  1. Team Managers download and complete Team Roster

  2. Team Managers collect fees from players

Pay Your Team Registration Fee - 2 Options:

  1. Pay on-line with a credit card/debit card $ 1,750

    • Pay my Baseball Team Registration

  2. Pay in-person with check, cash or credit card $ 1,850

    • Location: Hood River Aquatic Center, 1601 May Street, Hood River, OR

    • Monday - Thursday, 10 am - 5 pm

TEAM MANAGERS  

  • Represent/participate the team in league meetings (in-person or virtual), 

  • Respond and attend to league communication (email, text, phone calls), 

  • Communicate to team members about practice/game schedules, 

  • Maintain records for the team (scores, wins-losses, etc.) and

  • Communicate team concerns to Parks and Recreation staff

FREE AGENTS

Free Agent Registration

  • If you don’t have a team, you can still sign up!

  • Free Agents will be placed onto a team together

  • Players will need to elect a Team Manager to represent them at team meetings/vote on league rules/other decisions as needed.

Register for the Free Agent Team $150/player (In-District)

** Out-of-District $180/player **

  • Here are the 2024 League Rules (these may be updated at the Team Manager meeting)

  • The Men’s Baseball Game Schedule will be ready after the Team Manager meeting
