Administer, develop and promote participation in Womens Softball within the local Gorge community and state, through a safe and positive playing experience at a competitive level. 

SUMMER SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL LEAGUE 🥎

The Gorge Womens Softball League will be managed by Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District.  

LEAGUE STATEMENT

The Womens Slow-pitch Softball League’s purpose is to provide adults the opportunity to stay active, socialize, compete and participate in an overall healthy activity. Interested players will have the chance to sign up as part of a team or as Free Agent. Form a team of friends, family and co-workers and enjoy playing the game again

LEAGUE DETAILS

  • This league will operate as an Open Division and participants should expect players with varying playing experiences.   

  • Teams will play 1 game per week (double-headers as needed)

  • Each team guaranteed 7 regular-season games, with a playoff tournament to culminate the season.  

  • Game days: Sundays

  • Practice days: Fridays

  • Register by Team: Follow the steps below to sign up your team

  • Roster size: 15 players max

  • Game Locations: Collins Field + HRCSD fields

Team Registration Opens: March 17th (5 PM)

*Late Team Registration: Begins Monday, May 5th (5 PM)

Registration Deadline: Monday, May 19th (5 PM)

Team Manager Meeting: Tues., May 27th / 5:30 - 7 pm / Location: Hood River Aquatics Center

Submit Team Roster by: May 27th (turn in at Team Manager’s meeting)

Pre-Season Practices: Fri, Jun. 6th and Fri, Jun. 13th / Location: TBA / Times TBA

First Games: Sunday, Jun 15th

Playoffs: Sun, August 3rd / Times + Location TBA

TEAM REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 17th (5 PM)

Late Team Registration Fee: $ 670 /Team

  • The team registration fee covers fields, scheduling, umpires and game balls

  • Teams are responsible for their own uniforms, bats, gloves, practice balls, and other equipment

  • Payment must be made to secure your team’s spot in the league

Register Your Team - Follow these Steps:

  1. Team Managers download and complete this form: Team Roster + Waiver

  2. Email completed form to Jaime Rivera and Gio Magana or turn in at the Team Manager’s meeting

  3. Team Managers collect fees from players

Team Registration Fee - 2 Options:

  1. OPTION 1: Pay on-line with a credit card/debit card $ 670 (save $ 100)

  2. OPTION 2: Pay in-person with check, cash or credit card $ 770

    • Location: Hood River Aquatic Center, 1601 May Street, Hood River, OR

    • Monday - Thursday, 10 am - 5 pm

TEAM MANAGERS  

  • Represent/participate the team in league meetings (in-person or virtual), 

  • Respond and attend to league communication (email, text, phone calls), 

  • Communicate to team members about practice/game schedules, 

  • Maintain records for the team (scores, wins-losses, etc.) and

  • Communicate team concerns to Parks and Recreation staff

FREE AGENTS

Free Agent Registration

  • If you don’t have a team, you can still sign up!

  • Free Agents will be placed onto a team together

  • Players will elect a Team Manager to represent the team at League meetings and to vote on rules and other decisions as needed.
