Hood River Spring Youth Ultimate Academy

This program is jointly managed by Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District and the Gorge Ultimate Frisbee club.

Who can sign up: Open to all 5th - 9th graders

Program Description

Join the Hood River Youth Ultimate Frisbee Academy this spring and play one of the fastest growing and most exciting sports in the world! Ultimate combines the best elements of soccer, basketball, and lacrosse -- except with a disc! It's a self-officiated sport, meaning there are no referees. This helps teach Spirit of the Game, which is all about respecting the game and other players, encouraging communication, and knowing the rules. Gorge Ultimate believes that sports are more than just a game; they are an opportunity to develop players and help them become their best selves. As such, we are committed to training our youth coaches to focus on positive coaching as a way to teach life lessons.

First Practice March 1st, 2024

Practice frequency Once a week for 8 weeks

Practice Dates and times March 31st - May 19th / Time 5:30 - 7 pm (Mondays)

Practice Location Hood River County School District fields
