Program Overview:
There are no races or timed events in this program. The Youth Ski + Snowboard Program is a supervised trip to the mountain for fun, fresh air, and exercise. Students have three check-ins, a coach is always in the lodge, they are required to ride/ski in groups, and there are adults on the ski hill. Many students have learned to ski and/or snowboard through this program. There are six skiing/riding dates included in this program.
Purpose: This program creates the opportunity to make skiing and/or snowboarding a healthy lifestyle choice
Who can sign up:
Middle school students (6-8th grade) / All levels and riders are welcome / Student must be well-behaved
Days: Thursdays
Tentative Dates: Jan 14 - Feb 11
Time: Bus leaves after school and returns around 9 pm
Pickup Locations: Hood River Middle School + WyEast Middle School
Destination: Mt Hood Meadows Ski Resort
Transportation plan:
Bus Company transports students
Volunteer Parents transport the ski/snowboard equipment
Participation fee: $310.00 Early Bird fee through Oct 16 / Normal fee $325/student
Volunteer Parents are needed
Volunteers will help transport equipment to the ski resort as well as other tasks as needed. Volunteers must have appropriate vehicle (4-wheel drive van, truck or SUV). Volunteers will receive a free ski lift ticket each time they help transport equipment. Please consider signing up!
⚠️Mandatory Parent Meetings:
Attendance is required in order for your child to participate.
Please DO NOT ask to skip the meeting because you have attended in past years

Refunds:
We do not offer refunds for this program if there are cancellations due to inclement weather
If there are cancellations due to weather, we will make up a maximum of one session

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Introductory experience where young basketball players learn the basic skills, offensive and defensive principles, and teamwork skills.
Players will be placed into age-appropriate groups led by one adult volunteer coach; basic dribbling, shooting and passing skills will be taught through fun games. Sessions will end with kids playing 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 basketball. This program includes a pre-season jamboree, practices, scrimmages and Saturday games.
Who Can Sign Up: Kinder - 2nd grade students (Boys and Girls)
Practice + Game Frequency: 1-2 practices + 1 game/week

Program Description:
Introductory experience where young basketball players learn the basic skills, offensive and defensive principles, and teamwork skills.
Teams compete in the “Gorge Youth Basketball League” which includes teams from Skamania County, White Salmon, Trout Lake, Hood River and Goldendale. There will be separate boys’ and girls’ divisions and teams will practice 1-2 times per week. Each team will play 6-7 games on Saturdays.

Program Overview:
The Mini World Cup (MWC) Indoor Soccer League is designed for students that are in kindergarten to second grade. This program's mission is to provide a positive soccer experience for each player. To accomplish our mission, MWC has adopted a philosophy that puts athletes first and winning second. At this age group winning is not an objective and we value learning over winning. MWC is a program where players will be introduced to their first team experience and the fundamentals: dribbling, ball control, passing, attacking, and defending.
Team formation:
Teams will be coed (boys/girls mixed)
Teams will be built by school of attendance when possible
No special request will be taken for this league
Practices: 1 pre-season practice on Jan16

The Winter Indoor Soccer League is designed for students that in in 3rd to 8th grade. This program's mission is to provide a positive soccer experience for each player. To help accomplish this the soccer league has adopted a philosophy that puts athletes first and winning second. Players will experience an expanded team atmosphere and will continue to develop their basic understanding of the game. Tactics and strategy become more important at these age groups and the players’ understanding of their role increases.
*This program includes 2 pre-season practices and 5-6 games. There will be no additional practices (due to lack of gym availability).

Join us for an exciting 8-week journey of movement, music, imagination, and fun! This introductory dance class is designed specifically for young children to explore creative expression while building coordination, balance, rhythm, and confidence.
Through playful activities, imaginative adventures, obstacle courses, games, and age-appropriate dance exercises, dancers will learn foundational movement skills in a positive and encouraging environment. Each class encourages creativity, self-expression, listening skills, social interaction, and a love of movement.
No previous dance experience is needed—just bring your energy, imagination, and a smile!
