HOOD RIVER BIKE BARN
The “Bike Barn
More Bikes. More Riders. More Opportunities.
A partnership between Hood River Valley Parks & Recreation District (Parks and Rec) and Hood River Area Trail Stewards(HRATS) that helps make mountain biking accessible to local youth and families.
Community-Powered Access to Mountain Biking
The Hood River Bike Barn is a community bike fleet built from donated mountain bikes and maintained by volunteers and partners. The bikes are available to support youth-focused programs, community events, skills clinics, camps, and outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the Hood River Valley.
Our goal is simple:
Remove barriers and help more young people experience the joy of riding.
Already Making an Impact
The Bike Barn is already helping local youth get outside and ride.
Through a partnership between Parks and Rec and Bekah's Brave Endeavors, bikes from the Bike Barn have already been used in youth camps, helping participants build confidence, learn new skills, and experience local trails.
The bikes themselves are only part of the story. What we're really creating is access to outdoor adventure, healthy lifestyles, and lifelong connections to the outdoors.
