District Seeks Advisory Council Members
Overview: Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District (HRVPRD) is seeking interested volunteers to join the HRVPRD Advisory Council. The Council's purpose will be to provide valuable feedback to the District Board and staff on key issues related to parks, trails, facilities, recreational services, and funding.
The first key project this Advisory Council will work on is providing feedback on the upcoming Pool Options Study, which is set to begin in early spring. The study will evaluate the practicality, costs, benefits, and potential impacts of developing a new aquatics facility or renovating the existing one. It will involve giving feedback on conceptual designs and cost analysis for renovated or new facilities and the cost to maintain them.
Advisory Council Details: Interested volunteers must be willing to commit for the duration of the Pool Options Study (approximately 4-6 months), with the potential to continue in an advisory capacity for up to a one-year commitment. While no meeting schedule has been set, participants can expect a monthly meeting for the Pool Options Study, possibly more. Additional advisory council meetings that aren't project-based will likely meet quarterly thereafter.
We will accept interest forms through February 16th and contact you regarding your interest. There will be many ways on the coming months to provide feedback on the pool and other issues related to the services HRVPRD provides. We appreciate your interest.
