mT. HOOD WINTER CHESS CUP
The Hood River Chess League will be managed by Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District.
League Mission
Administer, develop and promote participation in adult chess league within the local community, through a safe and positive playing experience at a competitive level.
OVERVIEW
League Format:
Players must be 21 years of age or older
Each player will have two chess matches per night
Players that sign-up are committing to playing all league match dates
Prizes awarded to the 1st and 2nd Place in League and to the Championship Tournament winner and runner-up
Maximum participants: 20 player maximum accepted into the tournament
Competition dates:
Wednesdays / December 11, 18, January 8, 15, 22 and 29
Location: Working Hands Fermentation in Hood River
** UPDATED Game times: Wednesday evening competition will start at 6:00 pm **
IMPORTANT DATES
Early Bird Player Registration opens: Tuesday, October 1st
Late Player Registration begins: December 2nd (add a $25 late fee)
Pre-season Player Meeting: Wed, December 10th / 6 pm / ZOOM
League play begins Wed, December 11th
End of League play: Wed, January 29th
