ADULT BEGINNER MT BIKING 🚵
Hood River Valley Parks + Recreation District and Trails Diverged have partnered to bring you this program
About the Program
If you've always wanted to mountain bike, but unsure about the financial investment and how to stay safe, this class is for you!
2-Day Option Description
Day 1: We start from the beginning with bike basics and technical skills on flat, open land. We will work on braking, cornering, obstacles, body position, and more.
Day 2: We review our skills and add some new ones. After demonstrating successful techniques, our guides will end the class with a bike ride to put your new skills to use on trail
1-Day Option Description
Same idea as the 2-day option but condensed into 1 day! We begin with bike basics and technical skills on flat, open land. Skills include braking, cornering, obstacles, body position, and more. After demonstrating successful techniques, our guides will end the class with a bike ride to put your new skills to use on the trail
Socializing: Opportunities exist to hang out and socialize after each mt biking session (local hangout spots like Buddy’s Arcade, Whisky Flats, Thunder Island Brewing, etc.)
Side Notes:
Our participants are often mountain biking for the very first time, or after a long hiatus from the first time they rode or have ridden with friends and haven't been able to "figure it out".
This class does build on basic bike riding skills- if you have never ridden a bike and do not have basic bike balance skills, contact us via phone or email to make sure this is the right choice for you
