We are hiring for a Recreation Supervisor + Recreation Assistant

Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation is excited to announce that it will add recreational programming to its list of offerings in the coming months. In the past, recreational programming was run through Hood River Community Education, which was managed by Hood River County School District. The transition will take some time. We need to hire staff and begin planning for future programs.

Recreation Supervisor Position: The Hood River Valley Parks & Recreation District is seeking a Recreation Supervisor. We are looking for a candidate to plan, develop, and market new and existing recreation programs with a focus on the youth of the community. Many of the programs were previously managed by the Hood River Valley School District, Community Education.

This candidate reports to the director and is responsible for supervising one full time and some part time employees. Must be flexible with change and willing to learn.

Recreation Assistant Position: The Hood River Valley Parks & Recreation District is seeking a Recreation Assistant. We are looking for a candidate to perform a variety of office tasks in support of several parks, recreation, and community programs. This candidate reports to the Recreation Supervisor. Must be flexible with change and willing to learn. Ability to communicate in Spanish strongly preferred.

About us: The Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District manages the Hood River Aquatic Center, community recreation programs/youth sports, seven parks, and six miles of trails. We are a small team of six full time employees and 30 part time and seasonal employees.
