Re: Positive COVID Case

Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District has confirmed that a staff member at the Hood River Aquatic Center has tested positive for COVID-19. We are following the Center for Disease Control, Oregon Health Authority, and the Hood River County Health Department’s guidance. We are unable to share any more details with you about the positive case to protect confidentiality.

We are working closely with the Hood River County Health Department to respond to this news and to protect the health of our community. We are notifying people who are considered exposed given the guidelines of the health department.

If you have questions about your health, we encourage you to call your medical provider. If you do not have a medical provider, you can contact the Hood River County Health Department for assistance.

Please continue to reinforce health safety practices while visiting the pool, including:

·       Masking while inside the facility.

·       Staying 6ft away from other people.

·       Washing your hands regularly.

·       Stay home if you are sick and contact your medical provider.

·       Coming in your suit and leaving in your suit and avoiding the locker area unless necessary.

·       Getting vaccinated if you haven’t already done so.
