Coming Fall 2017
Hood River Valley Parks and Recreation District is excited to announce that construction will begin for the Golden Eagle Park Project Wednesday, July 12, 2017. James Dean Construction, Inc. is the awarded contractor for this public work project subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 or the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 3141 et seq.). Klein & Associates, Inc is the project manager and engineer for the project.
Golden Eagle Park is located on Indian Creek Road, adjacent to Hood River Valley High School and the old Diamond Fruit Building, now owned by Double Mountain Brewery.
The park will contain the following features:
- two multipurpose courts lined for tennis and basketball
- three pickleball courts
- two bocce ball courts
- two picnic shelters
- a restroom facility
- 98 stall asphalt parking lot
- Indian Creek Trail connection and fitness elements
- mountain bike pump track (in cooperation with HRATS – slated for winter or spring 2018)
